Liebster Award

Being new to WordPress and all I was surprised when my friend nominated me for Liebster Award. So much so that my brain might’ve shut down a little. Just as much as the words “I tagged you for this award.” can. I was all “What?” “Where?” “What is going on?” and after remembering my brand sparkling new blog “But I’ve barely just started my blog.” Then I found out all about this Liebster award and I love it already. German for dearest. Cute, isn’t it? It’s so very lovely.

So I’d like to give a huge huge thanks to the amazing Aakanshya for nominating me for the Liebster award. You can check out her awesome answers here.

Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you
  • Answer the 11 questions
  • Nominate 11 bloggers for the same award in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family
  • Ask them 11 questions!

  1. What would be your Dream Job? (Fictional/Real)

My actual dream job would perhaps be an Author, but I’ll settle for the one who manages the Beast’s library tho. So many books, so many worlds to visit….

  2. Which show/book you wish everyone would read?

There are so many books and shows that I wish most people would know about. It’d make the (nonexistent) social encounters so much easier.

  3. Which Book/Show made you ugly cry recently?

I cry quite a lot when it comes to reading books or watching movies but I haven’t done the whole ugly cry that much recently. Although Twelve’s farewell in the Doctor Who Christmas special made me cry quite the river.

  4. Which fictional world do you want to be a part of? (Books/movies/anime)

Harry Potter! It’s kind of cliche I know, but I really want to be a part of the wizarding world. To go to Hogwarts, eat Chocolate Frogs, do actual Magic and the most of all experience The Room of Requirement. Who wouldn’t want that?

  5. Do you have an instant buy author? Or someone, that you would read anything he/she wrote?

Once I like an author, I pretty much read anything he/she wrote. But if I had to name one, I’d say John Grisham. While he primarily focuses on lawyers, he writes such captivating stories about them, in different scenarios, in different conditions. His heroes could be anyone, anywhere with the feats they perform and the lengths they go to.

  6. Which is your favorite genre?

I typically read about any genre available but my favorite one has to be mystery/thriller. From the golden age of mystery to the new suspenseful thrillers, I like them all. Also time travel.

  7. Which is your least favorite genre?

I really don’t hate any genre. If it’s interesting I’ll read it. But I’m not that big of a fan of romance.

  8. Do you read fanfiction? What is your opinion on them?

Sometimes I go on months without reading an Original book and just read fanfiction instead. I mostly like them because they allow me to reimagine all my favorite characters in various different scenarios and worlds. It allows me to re-immerse myself into the franchise and escape into the all so familiar world.

  9. Which is your favorite book to movie adaptation?

Not a movie per se, but I absolutely love the new Netflix adaptation of A series of Unfortunate Events. It’s got everything I loved in the books as well as new original characters that make the story even more enthralling. Even the promos are awesome. I can’t wait for Season 2 already.

  10. Do you have OTPs? (One True Pair:  a couple you wish would be together forever with all your soul.) Mention them.

Gonna go with Percabeth on this one. The lengths they go for each other is commendable and so utterly romantic.

  11.  A book/movie/show release you can’t wait for?

Stranger things 3 or A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2. Or or Doctor Who! With the first female Doctor, it’s gonna be awesome. I can’t wait for all of my favorite series…

My Questions:

  1. What is a skill that you are most proud of having?
  2. If you could become a tree or a plant what would you be?
  3. Which race do you want to meet the most, advanced aliens or supernatural beasts?
  4. If you could attend any fictional school of your choice, where would you study?
  5. Which book/show do you want to forget about so you could experience it for the first time all over again?
  6. What is your favorite first line of a book?
  7. What is the longest book you’ve ever read/ longest show ever watched?
  8. Which fictional world do you not want to go to?
  9. What is the funniest proverb/saying you’ve ever heard?
  10. If you were stuck in a time loop/groundhog day scenario, what would you do?
  11. If you could time travel anywhen, where would you go?

One of the first things I said about knowing about this Liebster Award was “But I don’t know 11 other bloggers.” So due to that very thing I am unable to nominate anyone for this. But if you happen to come across this on my blog and like my questions, feel free to do the tag.

Cheers,

Em.
