He stared at the puddle, watching with the corner of his eyes, his dreams disappearing into the horizon like the plane before him. He watched, somber and teary. As the metaphorical door closed, he took a step forward, water splashing all over.

Far above in space, the earth seems so tiny and people so small.

The inventions and development of humans stand tall and proud.

He looks at the earth and everything down there,

a product of our unending brilliance and enthusiasm.

Rush

She quickened her pace, her body appeared a blur as she shot past the empty corridor. She wasn’t late, but she wasn’t early either, a fact that was causing her undue stress. In this world, slow and steady never win anything.

Escape

The evening lights seemed scary, the people milling around town even more so. In the cover of the night, she felt scared but her initial relief didn’t falter as she walked on, away from him. She smiled a small smile as she accepted the roads that guided her somewhere, somewhere fresh, somewhere she could start anew.
